Was there WMD? What was the intelligence provided to the Bush administration? Was that intelligence wrong, or was it falsified? Was Iraq just smarter that us?
This is a topic on which I myself would like to know more about. You have a specific topic but I don't know how much information that you will be able to find with out like government access or something.
Sound like a good subject to write about. Obviously a somewhat controversial one, but that's a good thing. i don't think you'll have much trouble finding other peoples views and comparing them to each others and then to your own view.
I like this topic. It brings with it a sense of mystery because honestly nobody is ever going to know all the details of why we invaded Iraq. The truth probably lies within a mixture of all that has been said. Im sure there were many reasons, however we all have our opinions on the reason why. This is a good topic to write about i think.
Good topic, this could be fun to look up all the different information on because your going to get different view. It's going to be based a lot on your views to.
Interesting! It can bring a lot of great arguments from either point of view. Obviously, you can find plenty of information on it. You can also bring up some ethical arguments as well? Look up Just War Theory. Also, utilitarianism. I think both philosophical principles would build your ethos here a lot, as well as the evidence I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding.
I think history has pretty much decided that there were no WMD in Iraq, which doesn't mean there never were any, but that at the time of the war there were none. The question that needs to be asked here might be a little more developed: how is intelligence data vetted? how do we know when are information is sound or questionable? have the military and security agencies changed their process after the WMD mistake?
